 WELCOME TO ELTHAM MEN'S SHED

Established in 2014, Eltham Men’s Shed is a community-based, not for profit, volunteer organisation that provides a safe and friendly environment where men can meet other men, develop new friendships and connect with their community. Our purpose is to support the health and well-being of our members.

The Shed offers a variety of social and practical activities throughout the week including Wood and Metal Workshops, Bicycle Restoration, Gardening, Technology and Photography. Members are able to work on projects at their own pace in their own time and in the company of other men.

Our weekly social gathering updates members on current activities, invites guest speakers and provides an opportunity to enjoy a cuppa and chat. A variety of other social activities are available including group travel, 4WD outings and dinners.

CURRENT NEWS
A new year at the Eltham Shed begins...
 Sunday, 12 January 2025
It's a brand new year for the Eltham Men's Shed and we go into the year with over 140 active members.

Much was achieved in 2024.   There is our updated kitchen with shiny new appliances, heaps more cupboard and bench space and a much better location for our cafe style coffee machine.  We may have the best coffee in Eltham.  We certainly have the cheapest.

The wood workshop have their new table saw and over Christmas have built a bench with cupboards underneath for the new Bosch compound saw.

The Member's Lounge area now has an expanded outdoor area and there is a growing range of entertainment equipment being installed.

The various workshops and interest groups are thriving and the range of activities extend from: wood work, metal work, gardening, bike repair workshop, walking and riding groups, a music group, a tech group, tool and toy refurbishment group, digital photography group and picture framing group.

And then there are the many social events.  A Member's Meeting every Monday at 9:30am.  A monthly lunch at the shed.  A Dine-out dinner with partners once a month.  The Games & Gossip Group every fortnight on Friday afternoon and numerous planned excursions to various places.

Visitors are welcome.  The shed is open most business days of the week but the best time to visit is a Monday morning about 9am.  There will be a coffee waiting and visitors will get a good feel for the shed and the members by attending the weekly Monday Member's Briefing from 9:30am.

  • Intro. to word processing (MS Word)
  • Online banking
